My latest aerial embroidery - thawing snow/ice over blue and teal waters 💙 it came out somewhat abstract I think? Or at least more so than my more usual aerials :) I'm hoping for some snow this winter!! This landscape will be available after the new years (to avoid the backlogged post) #art

My current work in progress... it'll be snowy winter landscapes for the next month or so :) I hurt my wrist and can't do tough stitches like knots but the cotton ones seem fine. For this aerial embroidery, I liked the idea of having detailed water and simple land! What do you think of this style?

This past commission of mine feels very 'wintery' to me so I wanted to share it here too - I think the brown shrubs and lighter green areas do it :) this specific aerial embroidery was of a landscape in Ireland! I enjoy how fields are organised there compared to ours!

'In the winter garden' - my favourite geometric garden aerial that I've ever done! I don't remember if I shared it here or not yet - it has camellia bushes in the centre and beds of winter heather and hellebore :) the geometric landscapes are always more challenging and I love that! #embroidery

'All that glitters...' - a fun little play with incorporating beads into my aerial embroideries! I think they work well for some little trees and hedges :) plus I had to add some tiny cows too! Now available here: victoriaroserichards.co.uk/collection/a... #art #landscape

I found I still had a couple of the process pic videos for some of my aerial embroideries! Here's one of them - 'The land is a patchwork rainbow', 2023, which was inspired by Dutch tulip fields. This embroidery landscape was so fun to create! 🌈🌷🌸 #art

I'm super stressed right now so here's a recent favourite landscape from a few months ago again - Dunvegan in Alberta, Canada. This aerial embroidery took forever but was worth it 💚 the higher up perspective is more intricate and slower to sew I've found, more fiddly! #art

'Senescence' - my new aerial embroidery of a warm Autumn landscape. Moorland ponies dot the grass while a stream cuts through the scene. Now available along with a miniature of the same theme: victoriaroserichards.co.uk/collection/a...

My Autumn aerial embroideries I made last Autumn... I've made a start on this year's landscapes now! Lots and lots of colourful and brown trees coming soon 🧡💛🍂 including another geometric one maybe? #embroidery #art

I've been picking out past designs for a dozen postcard designs and here are a few of the chosen ones! I'm picking out quite a range of my aerial embroidery landscapes from the past few years, its been great to go back and see them all :) which of the 4 below are you most drawn to?

'Vanderbilt Museum and Planetarium' - another recent embroidery commission that now has its new home... doing the buildings was a challenge for me, I'm not so experienced on those. I think I got good detail in without it getting overcrowded :) overall, this aerial landscape was a good challenge!

A past embroidery commission I forgot to share on here... an aerial view of an equestrian farm somewhere in America! This was such a lovely landscape is embroider: the horse fields and red farm houses are so pleasing :) such a soothing green landscape 💚

Happy Autumn! For the season, here's a past Autumn landscape of mine called 'Autumnal Auras'. Colourful trees and mist lying low on the moorland edge 🍂 I would have done it a bit differently now (should I do another??) but it's still an aerial embroidery I'm very proud of!

'All paths lead to water' - my newest aerial embroidery, inspired by the grounds of Antony House, Cornwall! I loved the radiating paths through the trees leading to the water edge so here's my take on the landscape... with kayakers! Now available here: victoriaroserichards.co.uk/collection/a...

Which ocean-themed aerial embroidery stands out to you most? 🌊 The largest one has captured my heart the most - it had an awkward middle phase but now its finished I love it 💙 All three are available on my website here: victoriaroserichards.co.uk/collection/a...

'Brooks and boulders' - the third piece of my aerial embroidery series incorporating pine bark chip 'rocks'! The contrasts between the hard rocks and soft embroidery, dark and pale shades and terrain makes this landscape my favourite 😊 will be available Friday with all the others! 1/2

I have the fifth piece now up! I tried to get it done for yesterday afternoon's update but I was a day too slow 😅 this tropical island inspired landscape is now here: victoriaroserichards.co.uk/work/rock-se...

These four aerial embroideries are now available on my site! Soft flowing oceans, rocks made of pine bark chips, and lots and lots of French knots... I can never get enough of those stitches 😊 all landscapes now up here: victoriaroserichards.co.uk/collection/a... #embroidery

'Moorland pools' - the fourth landscape in tomorrows mini art update! This one is essentially a smaller version of the last moorland piece I showed where I just wanted to play with shape and texture some more :) I'll post tomorrow afternoon when all 4 are up, around 4pm GMT on my site! #embroidery

These are the first two pieces of my rock series - I wanted to combine some pine bark chips I painted to resemble rocks with my aerial embroidery, both for seascapes and moorland landscapes. These are the two mini sea ones - do you prefer the left or right? 💙🌊 #embroidered #ocean
