Yeah, the Christmas eps had A LOT of this going on. Now the Halloween ones do too. I enjoy these themed mini seasons, but if you can’t come up with enough real seasonal items to recreate, maybe just...don't do a whole holiday season.

Sam said in an interview (I think one from SDCC) that it sets in 2025.

The interview in S1-2 takes place in June of 2022, but enough time has passed between the interview and the actual final scene of S2 for Daniel to write the book and sell 5 million copies, so 2025 could be 2 years after *that*

If I've been a little quiet this week, it's because I'm touching so much grass and going to museums and looking at birds and lemurs.

(Hotel comes with unlimited access to the adjacent bird park that also has some mammals.)

The pictogram underneath "no eating" shows ice cream and a soda bottle to specify they mean "no eating of regular human food" but the whole thing does make you wonder if they ever had an incident where someone tried to eat a lemur.
