What else can I say other than the PS2 is one of the greatest and most important consoles in the history of video games. There's simply no debating that.

The hype for PS2 was on a level we’ll never see again, but to me in 2000 it felt somewhat unearned. Now looking back I think it has the best library of any console ever, and the deeper you go, the more great stuff you’ll find that still holds up today. The hype was deserved; truly the GOAT.

Remembering yesterday a friend of my younger brother (Zoomers, btw) was worrying about being 'tricked' by trans women on dating apps. I told him that's a dumb, harmful trope that he's not likely ever to run into, and most trans women won't gonna want him anyway. Which made him upset for some reason.

The ethos of any modern game is that the player should face no friction, no resistance, barely any thought, and it's very sad when it infects remakes of games that seek to replace the original versions. There's a reason people are so hostile towards remakes and remasters now.

Like yeah, obviously I think Harris was dealt a shit hand in 2024 but she still lost, setting $1.5 billion on fire while doing so, and has in fact never won a presidential primary, ever. I'm not sure what conversation can be had with someone who thinks it's racist/sexist to point any of this out.
