I think the change would fix something that felt unintuitive when I was learning the commander rules. When playing limited, hybrid is used often even if it’s only half in-color, so I was confused as to why it could count against a deck’s color identity.

I remember being confused why hybrid didn’t work with the color identity rules when I first started learning about commander. I think the current rule puts hybrid in a weird place that goes against the reason hybrid mana is used by design.

I’m a big fan of his writing but if you’re a tithe-paying Mormon, everything you do ends up normalizing Mormonism. 10% of all his income goes to the church. I do believe he wants the church to grow more progressive, and he has used his voice and his writing to do that. But he still pays tithe
