Across 9 million square miles at the top of the planet, climate change is writing a new chapter.

“Three years ago, temperature in ground above our permafrost was minus 3 Celsius [27 degrees Fahrenheit],”
This year, temperature was plus 2 degrees.

Arctic permafrost is thawing fast. That affects us all.
As the frozen ground warms much faster than expected, it’s reshaping the landscape—and releasing carbon gases that fuel global warming.

For decades, the New York–New Jersey Harbor was a dumping ground for sewage and industrial waste. After years of intensive cleanup, locals are enjoying the waterway again—but a new pipeline is threatening to reverse that progress.
The Fight Against This NYC Area Pipeline Is Not Over
Constructing the offshore NESE pipeline would pollute waterways and come with higher energy bills for New Yorkers.

There was an entire ad campaign about how the Orange Demon asked why his nephew didn’t let his son die and described disabled people as burdens and takers. We tried REALLY HARD to make this not a surprise.

And yet!
I get a bit irritated when I see “now they’re coming after disabled people?!” like we didn’t all see that clip in 2015.

They have ALWAYS been coming after disabled people. They use us to stoke fear, to delegitimize the agency of our own and other groups, as scapegoats, as bellwethers, as excuses.
