The whole reason Trump and Maga got this far is because there's never consequences to their actions.

If we want to do something about this we'll need to change how we communicate online wholesale. Which might mean longer engagements. Calling out faulty logic, and regularly citing sources.

I don't think"we" as a larger public want to do anything though.

There's no money in it after all.

There's mindless text all around us and there has been all of our lives. AI is the first time I've seen a general public consciousness around it.

Is it AI? Is it just bad? Does it matter?

From memes to certain phrases we see canned responses more often online than earnest thought.

This proves to me that AI slop will be everywhere. There is so much text now, so much stuff that even before AI was just regurgitating call and response. We have no way of addressing it. From government forms, business emails, and so many smaller things.

I feel like I should say something.

I use #ai for writing, and I know most people hate that here.

But it's great for two things I've done

1. Rewrite resumes
2. Marketing copy.

Basically, when it's already soulless busy work people barley engage with AI is great!

Curious to see what the X office will have coming out of the apocalypse stuff.
