Given the success of the original, I was always surprised that they didn't give more budget to the team behind Ghostbusters 2.

Seeing Alien on the big screen for the first time, in 2003 with the release of the Director’s Cut.
Unfortunately the cinema walls were painted white (!) so any sense of claustrophobia was destroyed by all of the flashing lights on-screen illuminating the whole auditorium.

Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.

It was hands-down one of the most memorable theater-going experiences I can remember, a collective 30-minute butt-clench/armrest-grab for the final climb. And we knew he lived! Wild.

The trailers made it look like it would be awful, but I decided to watch it last night on a whim. Some wonderful visual gags, some great spoken gags (particularly around the butler Cyril and the Davenports' pet name for him), it was just a good time.

Vincent van Gogh turned to still-life painting in the summer of 1886 as a vehicle to learn about colour and form. He painted this simple still-life of a pot of chives in the winter of the following year when taking painting lessons with Fernand Cormon in Paris.
