for some reason back in 2017, I decided to make a website to make fake video game screenshots. This was a good idea and made a lot of people laugh.

Here's to the Death Generator, eight years and 270ish games later!

My most popular cartoon by a long chalk is also oddly niche, in that it mostly appeals to a generation who remember the song it refers to and enjoy the nostalgia for their youth. I can draw one for you if you like.

@bskycheck.com Not sure if this is intentional, but it looks like someone set a future time for their account creation and it's messing things up.

@shiftf1podcast.bsky.social I'm interested in the jet-dryer link from Ryan of Halifax, NS (where I am!) but it doesn't seem to be in the current show notes. Love the show!

i will die on the hill that this goes beyond a generational divide. the meat of a 23-minute video can be written down and read in a fraction of the time.

if you're trying to make a point to me a send me a link to a yt video, expecting me to devote HALF AN HOUR to it, you are a psychopath.
The real generational divide is people who refuse to watch a video if it could be an article versus people who refuse to read an article if it could be a video

@tomwarren.co.uk Hi! I really enjoy your Notepad newsletter, but I always see these weird "ads" in it. Is this a placeholder for a future ad spot? Is it my email client preventing a real ad from being served? It's always the same one, and it links to the Wikipedia page for Limonene. Thanks!

Sorry I was late to your wedding, my flight was canceled because my pilot posted a Charlie Kirk quote verbatim in the comments of an Instagram Reel.
Hard to think of a more on-the-nose encapsulation of how far the online speech wars have swung in the year of our lord 2025 than major U.S. corporations racing to fire people whose tweets offended Milo Yiannopoulos

Some quick thoughts about yesterday's Apple event. The new AirPods Pro 3 and iPhone 17 Pro were the key standouts to me. I was also annoyed by what I think is a misuse of the "design is how it works" mantra.

I have no idea how an Atlassian-owned browser will work. This feels like an excuse to own something AI-related. I don't really care about The Browser Company's products, but I don't think this is great news for those who do.
