The only important question is, do the Democrats support Trump’s war on Venezuela?
He'll start a war to:

1. Distract from the Epstein Files
2. Steal oil
3. Justify emergency powers
4. Justify use of the AEA for deportation/internment
5. Help the drug lord he just pardoned

Do I need to say it? Hands off Venezuela.

Will liberals vote for war with Venezuela when republicans give a push comes to shove? I think they will, because they have learned nothing about their hubris.

Widespread.

And systematic, you might say.
I'm not sure if people realize the murder strikes are taking place across a large region. It's quite staggering.

First time I saw anyone on Bsky ask what Venezuela should do to protect itself.

It’s a great question
What can Venezuela do to address America’s threats? What concrete goal is the armed diplomacy trying to achieve?

The naval assets offshore suggest what comes after “or else.” But what comes before?

Gotta say it's mindblowing to me that the Brown shooter is still at large and they don't even seem to have identified who they're looking for.

It seems Israel successfully convinced the US, at least for now, to block more intimate Turkish involvement in the plans for the "International Stabilization Force" to be deployed to Gaza at some hypothetical point in 2026.

However, most countries do not want to contribute without Turkey.

Six members of the Canadian Parliament were denied entry into the occupied West Bank by the Israeli army today at the Allenby Bridge / King Hussein Crossing.

One of the MPs, Iqra Khalid of Prime Minister Mark Carney’s Liberal Party, was assaulted by an IDF soldier by being pushed multiple times.

Don’t worry, we won’t remember and we won’t care when it’s time to vote.
Today's abysmal jobs report is a reminder that tax cuts for corporations and the rich don’t create jobs or grow the economy.

What's required is investment in working people — and better wages.

When workers have money to spend, the economy grows and businesses create more jobs.

Remember this.

Maybe we shouldn’t listen to South Florida Cold Warriors ever again.
The lawless killing spree continues.

The administration justifies this slaughter by claiming there’s an armed conflict.

But it won’t even tell the U.S. public who the supposed enemies are.

Of course, there’s no armed conflict.

And outside armed conflict, we call premeditated killing murder.

Liberalism has matured. It no longer sees creative visions of a better future, and attacks them because it has become a conservative status quo machine when the status quo is becoming a meat grinder.

The human values of equality and freedom we hold dear can no longer be advanced by liberalism.

People who live in persistent scarcity cannot be reasonably expected to have an abundance mindset.

Therefore the solution is increase liquidity and abundance at a structural level

No you're participating on Blusky.
IMO it's hard to combat the dangerousness of the right by participating in a platform where they aren't present.
I think the best way to explain the X vs Bluesky preference is whether a person thinks the left is more annoying than the right is dangerous.

The reason so many Noah Smiths end up on the X side of that equation is that while the left annoys them personally, the right mostly endangers other people.

Nationalized Mitt Romney Care (Obamacare) was a bad idea to begin with. It should have never structurally come to this, and here we reap what we sow.
With just 17 days until Obamacare tax credits expire, it’s now clear: Congress—and the country—are headed over the Obamacare cliff. Even if the House acts, the Senate won’t move in time.

It’s outrageous that all members of Congress have great, taxpayer-funded healthcare! Screw regular Americans!!

We’ve had GPS since the early 2000s, still yet I was taught to use an old school road map and got tested on it even when everyone asked why not just use google maps on our smart phones.

The old ways are the foundational way.

Even so, I take the bus whenever practical.
