This NYT story failed the reader by not digging deeper. One subject dropped out of college after one year (five years ago) and lists "Windows" as his skillset. Story should be: young conservatives who blame immigrants for their personal failures and whose lives won't be improved w/ fewer immigrants

Oh you wanted a city where you could work AND get services where you live? Sorry we couldn't nationalize real estate so you need to drive 2 hrs a day outside the city to make rent.

It'll be political malpractice if we don't see "DWB" ads in the midterms.

It took the cops 5 years to do their job but of course they'll get more funding while the city closes a dozen schools.

There's no socialist politics in SF, just attempts to try and freeze the city in amber with different aesthetics.

We need to:

❌ Ban Congressional stock trading
❌ Ban Congressmembers from becoming lobbyists
❌ Ban unlimited corporate money in elections

So we can finally fund housing, healthcare, and education instead of endless war.

The reason conservatives constantly trade in conspiracy theories is they have no legislative agenda once they cut taxes.
Republicans flounder on health care while Trump avoids specifics
The party is divided over whether to cut a bipartisan deal or go it alone, but the president’s imprimatur will be needed.

Indiana’s Senate has voted AGAINST the GOP gerrymander that’d have locked in a 9-0 map.

This keeps the 7-2 map in place, saving two Democratic seats heading into 2026.

The vote failed big, 19/31.

The MAJORITY of the GOP senators opposed it!

A grand jury has declined for a second time to re-indict New York Attorney General Letitia James, refusing to resurrect a mortgage fraud prosecution encouraged by President Donald Trump, according to a person familiar with the matter.

My generation is staring down the barrel of a future where we own nothing, rent everything, and work until we die because of crap like this.

Politicians who’ve been in power for decades have done nothing to reign in these corporations.

We’re not waiting our turn anymore to fix their mess.
EXCLUSIVE: We found that Instacart is using AI algorithms to charge customers different prices for the same items.

It's not just online. It's in physical grocery stores too.

Our months-long investigation with @consumerreports.org and @groundwork.bsky.social found it could cost families $1200/year.

@vanhollen.senate.gov is the kind of person we need in Democratic leadership. Too many senators would rather look the other way on foreign intervention, we saw it with Iraq, we cannot let it happen with Venezuela.

Reducing education to a jobs training program has been a net negative for society.
If you are providing me with an education that is low utility in the world then it’s a disservice. My composition class spent four weeks on poetry. I’m sorry, but that only would’ve been useful if I wanted to be a poet. I don’t need to know iambic pentameter in order to be a victim advocate.

They sucked under Biden too, give us a solution besides turning back the clock by a year.
Home energy bills are up 13% under Trump because of his chaotic policies. Families are paying more & falling behind on their bills, racking up hundreds of dollars in utility debt.
