In fairness some of the younger cohort of these people were in fact minors when they were in group chats with 30 something JD Vance

also reminder that it is verifiable fact that 30 something JD Vance was in group chats with minors and the entire political media has ignored this for years
jamellebouie.net
very funny that JD Vance has so little to do with his time that he goes on podcasts to defend 30-year-old men for saying how much they love Hitler
atrupar.com
JD Vance dismisses Young Republicans who in a group chat said "I love Hitler" and joked about slavery and rape as "a bunch of kids" who "told stupid jokes" and adds that "most of the stupid things I did when I was a teenager and young adult, they're not on the internet."

Sent Opalite to the other half and this apparently played afterwards and just have to say “All my life I’ve been good but now what the hell” is a definite MOOD for basically the entire last decade reaching a crescendo in recent months

Got some not great horrors related news today but now I’m cooking dinner to the soundtrack I didn’t ask for but definitely needed and it turns out we CAN dance through the lightning strikes in the face of evil, we CAN make our own sunshine. ☀️

I know I have a pretty varied following on here so if you aren’t dialed in to Swiftie news you might not know just how bad it is but the algorithms on the other sites have truly gone insane over this. It sounds incredibly frivolous given everything else happening rn but I really don’t think it is.

“The Defense Department has confiscated the badges of the Pentagon reporters from virtually every major media organization in America,” the Pentagon Press Association said

Oct. 15, 2025
PENTAGON PRESS ASSOCIATION
STATEMENT
Today, the Defense Department confiscated the badges of the Pentagon reporters from virtually every major media organization in America. It did this because reporters would not sign onto a new media policy over its implicit threat of criminalizing national security reporting and exposing those who sign it to potential prosecution.
The Pentagon Press Association's members are still committed to reporting on the U.S. military. But make no mistake, today, Oct. 15, 2025 is a dark day for press freedom that raises concerns about a weakening U.S. commitment to transparency in governance, to public accountability at the Pentagon and to free speech for all.

This is 100% correct. There is definitely a long history of Nazi-adjacent fascism in the US, and the political dimensions of that history occurred on the fringes of the GOP as those fascists tried to get a foothold in that institution...but the last 10 years mark a significant break in that history.

"they've always been like this" is always a tempting savvy take but it is just not true that Republican staffers were 100 percent open Nazis back in 2004, or hell even 2014. they just weren't
michaelcaley.bsky.social
there have been a lot of responses to this arguing that young Republicans were motivated by such feelings but didn't express them openly

and I think a crucial lesson of the Trump era is that there is great value in people not expressing these things openly! that's a big and decisive change!

His line about how “forgiving your enemies” didn’t sound like the Charlie Kirk he knew had a similar quality.

Weirdly one of the only ones not as deluded about the game they are all playing.

Q: This has been reported for a while. Cory Mills was accused of beating a girlfriend in his DC apt. Are you concerned about these allegations?

JOHNSON: You have to ask Rep. Mills about that. He's been a faithful colleague. I don't know the details. Let's talk about things that are really serious

You don’t have to love her new album to recognize that it’s incredibly dangerous and counterproductive to indulge in a massive social media smear campaign designed to bait liberals into calling her all the same names those nasty Young Republicans EARNED and DESERVE.

Look, if Taylor Swift can be called a Nazi for watered down squinty eyed “dog-whistles” without major pushback from our society then no one is a Nazi in a meaningfully harmful sense.

That accusation will lose all potency when it comes to the actual Nazis/fascists OF WHICH THERE ARE MANY.

I’m basically at the “of course governments (foreign and domestic) want us scrutinizing Taylor Swift instead of the actual ruling party of the United States” level of conspiracy.

Not to mention if they succeed in labeling her as such they will water down the allegation to be basically meaningless.

Long story short, an actual Nazi doxxing ring. Enough people reported them that they went away for like 12 hours and then Elon personally brought them back. The site is dead. If you’re still on there, go lock your account right now

Yes I’m pretty convinced at this point that they back the shutdown because they hope at some point it will make people desperate enough to act out and offer a real pretense for a more violent crackdown.

According to @rooster.info, during a Zoom meeting today, he had an American nazi flag displayed in the background.

Will I ever let it go that they berated and belittled the entire civil service as useless charity cases and then begged them to work for free to cover their own asses?

No.

Lots of focus on the absurd use of “no kings” here, but I’d also point out that pithy “no paychecks” lines coming from the administration asking government employees they labeled lazy do-nothings to work indefinitely without pay “for the good of the country” is truly something to behold.

Sounds like someone needs to be decertified…is there a number to call? An online form to fill out? Anyone know where the Swiftie Certification Agency is headquartered?
