Stop quoting stuff CEOs say about game development. They don't know shit. Even game devs only know about their own tiny slice of gamedev, so the suits definitely have no idea. You don't have to listen to them or debunk them, sometimes you can just be like "that's idiotic" and live on.

Speaking as a professional QA task automator, I think this is a HORRIBLE idea.

Automation can make manual testing more effective, but it can’t replace people. Using generative AI to replace people is only going to lead to more bugs slipping through the net. It lacks the creativity necessary for it.

Damn. I was really hoping that Wilson would pull ahead. I hope the closeness of this puts Harrell on notice, at least.
In the latest tally, Bruce Harrell's lead has grown by 2,864 votes. He now leads with 53.84% of the vote. King County counted another 20,804 votes in the mayoral race today, bringing the total number of ballots counted to 139,173. Today's batch broke 56.71% for Harrell and 42.94% for Katie Wilson.
In Seattle, Bruce Harrell (incumbent) is leading with 53% of the vote over Katie Wilson for Mayor.

The opposition would make those ads anyway. They already do. Might as well go all out if they’re just going to paint you with the socialist brush rather than compromising your ideals.

The short version: Despite layoffs, buying the game still puts money in the pockets of the developers who worked on it. Which is doubly important because they're out of a job. Boycotting the game in solidarity with them by screwing them out of money won't help anyone!

I keep seeing people say, oh, trans people must take a hit for the greater good and, first of all, no, you don't get to discard someone else's rights and second, we know from past experience that marginalized communities like theirs are merely the first to be targeted. They'll come for you next.

I think fundamentally the problem with post liberal thinkers is that they seem to assume that vanquishing liberalism results in their enemies being converted or defeated and not becoming radicalized into enemies who no longer extend the mercies they once did.

I think there's a small but meaningful distinction to be made between being an edgelord – especially as a younger person – and fully embracing nazi values/beliefs. the former primes people for the latter, but they're not the same thing, and I don't think we should ever excuse nazism as a "phase"
i actually don’t think the “average” american millennial man had a nazi phase. it’s not some boys will be boys shit. this makes me side eye you and your friend group, sounds like a personal problem

Look, my favorite moment in the franchise was the Freedom Cry DLC for Black Flag, if only because it let you mercilessly butcher slavers with a machette.

I would have LOVED to play an Assassin's Creed game where you slay Klan members. Imagine the sweet, sweet, catharsis in that!
