Yesterday, Attorney General Pam Bondi appeared before the House Judiciary Committee. Among the more notable exchanges was when Rep. Pramila Jayapal asked some of Jeffrey Epstein's victims who were in the audience to stand up and indicate whether Bondi's DOJ had ever contacted them about their experiences. None of them had heard from the Justice Department. Bondi wouldn't even look at the victims as she frantically flipped through her prepared notes.

I mean, there absolutely are writing fundamentals, right? Prose, dialogue, and perspective are all fundamental elements of writing, regardless of genre or which writer's 'system' you want to copy. It stands to reason that you could deliberately practice these elements of writing, among others.

I've seen several 'how to get good at art by using science' videos, but never a single 'how to get good at writing by using science' video- which given the 'using science' is functionally an abbreviation of 'practicing fundamentals using observations from learning sciences,' is kind of interesting.

It's funny how differently youtubers talking about 'how to write' vs 'how to draw' engage with the subject matter: they both talk about developing personal styles etc, but drawing-type youtubes tend to focus on 'practicing fundamentals' whereas writing-type youtubes love 'systems' and 'genres'
