In June, the rights to my comic I made with @allnewbenji.bsky.social, first published in The Cloakroom #1, reverted back to us.
So, without further ado, here's our story:

How set in your ways are you? How often do you think about switching up your routine? How often do you think about someone noticing your routines? These are questions that we don’t consider enough. Usually not until it’s too late. A woman traverses instinctively through her
weekend the same as she usually does: Laundry, coffee, walking through the park, but something is off. Someone watches her from a distance. Someone who knows her routine just as well as her.

I was the Godzilla editor for a bit working on other titles as well.

That's Marketing Evan talking. I don't want the world to be too disconnected. I think whatever is happening in Tron's world should have real-world stakes or vise-versa to make the story personal and actually saying something. But realistically, this is a dumb blockbuster franchise.

Like, Dune, Game of Thrones, Avatar, people want to escape into someone else's problems and the more fantasy-based, the more disconnected people get to feel about it. These stories ARE very tied to us, but a lot of people don't want to notice that for better or worse.

I think if Tron wants a chance at a successful sequel, they should bring things back to Tron but they have to figure out a way to be cutting edge. That's what sold the OG Tron. Take a note from Avatar and maybe make it more about the world's politics or inner conflicts.

I don't think Tron as a brand is dead weight, I think marketing just had nothing going for it. Bland trailers, Jared Leto jumpscare, AI, there was no escapism or awe which is what the original Tron mustered. At least Tron 2 tried to go edgy/cool with it and kept us in the digital space.
