The real question is not "Why is Bluesky so left-coded," the real question is "Why can't the right exist in a social media environment without algorithmic assistance, where people can ignore them"

Rockstar co-founder and former Grand Theft Auto writer Dan Houser has likened AI to mad cow disease, and claimed that humanity is being pulled in a direction “by a certain group of people who maybe aren't fully rounded humans.” https://bit.ly/4pDEfoN

Using AI art in the most profitable video game in the world, one where millions of artists would kill to have their art in the game and would even do it for free for that level of exposure, is so many levels of messed up.

Glad I've never played this game.
SO... I'm pretty much done with Fortnite. There were statements made by Tim Sweeney saying that AI usage doesn't need to be disclosed, and then AI usage was found all over this current season- from art to sprays to in-game songs. Between that, and the upcoming shitty wizard collab... Yeah, I'm done.

“AI is clearly sticking around so you have to get used to it” wrong. I don’t have to get used to shit. I am a practiced hater and I can keep this going for decades if I am required to

Naturally my highest score (by a lot) happens on my alt.

As a black coffee drinker, it's not that a similar scenario has never happened. I've gone up to a coffee counter and been told their new/seasonal beverages and pastries. But what's going on there is basic upselling by the merchant, which can happen anywhere. So why latch onto this?
This is actually quite brilliant, up to and including the final sentence 🔥

That begs the question: why has everyone lost their damn minds?

And the answer I think is Phone x COVID x Neoliberalism = everyone is insane.

I died so many times to the ceiling fan in Disco Elysium for this very reason. It's great.
No, I 100% agree that computer RPGs these days have too much handholding. I, too, yearn for the days of being able to spend hours crafting my perfect build from hundreds of available options, only to discover that it mathematically cannot survive the mandatory rat fight portion of the first dungeon.

Related, important thread(s) from Pookieblinky. The TL;DR of which is there is no minimum safe amount of exposure to misinformation. Once it gets into your head, you can't get it out. It lies dormant in your brain in the form of "I read it somewhere." It's absolutely insidious.
As I mentioned before, human memory is associative, and you can tell because look at this image and then close your eyes.

Whichever one you saw, maiden or crone, will make certain words easier to hear or read through noise. Because those words have been primed in your associative memory.
