AS A FAN OF THE ONION this is a good theory but i can officially say that i have never worked there. this would contradict statement that i have never had a day job, just been artist my whole life. as fun as onion would be that would still be a job in an office. HOWEVER i do like this theory
I have had a theory that @chucktingle.bsky.social secretly works or worked for The Onion at one time because the "Jonathan Starwarse" meme reads like Dr. Tingle wrote it. Only he could be clever enough to create The Dog Who Was Allowed To Have A Gun and The Vested Kisser.

no i have been a professional artist since i was 17 years old it is only job or income source i have ever had and i have done well at that. i understand that some people find someone talkin on this off putting but personally i think it is more off putting if i were to lie about this. i am very lucky
Dr. Tingle, are you able to pay all living expenses completely on book income or do you receive support from a spouse or family?
I ask because I personally don't have a "day job" due to chronic illness but I do have to rely on family to pay the bills

I know we know this, but authors need to get better at talking about how they actually make their money. Stop pretending it's from the books.
