We’re ~30 years into the age of majority internet access in the US and everyone with power/clout is still acting like their now hyper-public actions aren’t profoundly affecting ordinary people.

It’s the parasocial equivalent of 1870s Deadwood, no laws, no regulation, lots of money, lots of violence

I think one of the biggest cleavages in our society that no one talks about is the division between those that think powerful people must be held to a higher standard than non-powerful people and those who think powerful people should be flattered and sucked up to.

For those tempted to say Young Republicans have always been this way, they really have not. When I worked on campus and did bipartisan college events after, they were very much not like this.
That's why groups like YCT and eventually TPUSA formed -because Young Republicans weren't radical enough.

I think it was Ali Abounimah who mentioned this recently (can’t find the source atm), but there are at least 3 deceased Israeli captives who were a) killed by Israeli airstrikes, b) buried alongside Gazans in a temporary cemetery, which was then c) exhumed and bulldozed by the IDF 😑 Great work guys
