Kudos to the Brown University students who are posting continuous live updates, spaced just minutes apart, on the campus shooting. A lot of grace and professionalism under immense pressure.

There are no words that will make what’s happening at Brown University better. My mind is on the victims, and their friends and peers that will live in the aftermath. It’s on my colleagues at the hospital fighting to save every life. We don’t need words, we need action so this never happens again

Altman is so committed to selling the fake value of AI that he makes himself sound like a cold, miserable robot in this interview. Asking “Hey ChatGPT why is my kid throwing his pizza on the floor and laughing?” is not a cute anecdote, it’s really sad!
Jimmy Fallon: "And do you use ChatGPT when raising your baby?"

Sam Altman: "I cannot imagine figuring out how to raise a newborn without ChatGPT."

Sounds like a great plan Rand, but let’s think bigger! Do we know anyone that can negotiate for 340 million people? Think of the savings!
Rand Paul on his healthcare plan: "What if you could join Costco? Costco has 44m members and if one person negotiated for all 44 and they bought a group plan like Toyota or General Motors does, they would be the largest collective entity in the country. They would drive prices down by sheer might."

UPDATE

House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries tells CNN that the charges against Congressman Henry Cuellar and his wife were “very thin,” and that President Trump’s pardon of the couple was “the right outcome.”
1. BREAKING

President Trump says he is granting a pardon to Democratic Congressman Henry Cuellar and his wife Imelda.

Federal prosecutors said they accepted around $600,000 from an oil-and-gas company wholly owned and controlled by the government of Azerbaijan and a bank in Mexico.

There is a direct correlation between how fake your job is and how much value you see in AI
A study by Dayforce shows 87% of executives use AI for work, compared to 57% of managers and just 27% of employees.

I think this explains the massive disconnect we see in how CEOs talk about AI versus everyone else. It also raises the question of how useful it truly is for frontline work?
Execs are embracing AI more than their employees are, new research suggests
Research from HR software company Dayforce suggests that executives are leaning into AI far more than their employees.

Do you think Tom will listen to the chorus of people both politely and impolitely explaining that fascism isn’t just when it happens to everyone?

Tom, do you really want history to remember you as an insufferable pedant? Or someone that stood up against fascism for the vulnerable. Your choice
My mistake has been trying to explain what "fascism" is to people who don't care what it is.

So I'm going to try something else. Let's do this as a practical thought exercise.

If America *were* fascist *today* - what would you have to do differently in your daily life? /1

The Republican president is a pedophile who has doubled my healthcare costs and let scores of violent criminals out of jail. But a Democratic mayor-elect wants to make busses free in a city I don't live in. I have never felt more politically homeless.

I don’t even live in New York I’m just a hater! I’m so pumped Mamdani ended that man’s whole career
