Democrats must start making it clear that Trump's immunity will not extend to those who carry out his illegal instructions.

We need to once and for all correct the Nixon mistake and start putting powerful people in jail when they clearly violate the law.

Pardoning lawbreaking should be a 3rd rail.

Trump's mechanism to pay the troops during the shutdown is by far the most illegal budgetary action he's taken as POTUS, potentially setting the stage to break everything.

It's also needless because Congress would easily pass a troop pay bill if Johnson were willing to gavel in.

8/ But Trump doesn't want to end the shutdown. Because he thinks he's a king and he doesn't believe the law applies to him. He thinks he has extra powers in a shutdown. He doesn't.

But the longer Republicans boycott talks, the more the shutdown will hurt. So it's their move.

Oregon is not a devastated war zone. Average protest groups size was around 35. Mostly with, “low energy.”

The greatest number of protesters at the ICE facility (200) came out the day after Trump declared he was sending troops (from other States because Oregon didn’t want or need to use theirs.)
