AI companies should have to pay for all the electricity and water they use. No subsidies. As soon as people have to pay the actual value to get AI slop, the bubble will burst and maybe we can stop the environmental damage.

All these rules already exist in other legislation. This is in direct response to pro-palestinian protesters (probably tabled with a push by the US government), and will be used against them and others. Legal experts have come to that conclusion after reading the bill.

You say this as though other countries aren't relying on shared data from the CDC. Scientific communities work together, not separately on the same issues for each country, that would be incredibly inefficient. This has global impacts.
