JD Vance said today on the TPUSA podcast that these guys were “just a bunch of kids in a chat room.” bsky.app/profile/blue...

Too bad outlets like the Times enabled, and continue to enable these actions. They have bought his lies, they sanewash him, and they both sides issues so egregiously wrong that they cast doubt on rational thought.

Hakeem Jeffries posted pictures of two Rep. Members posing with “Young Republicans” who were part of a racist text thread (as reported by Politico).

In response, Mike Davis (well-connected in Trump World & on the Hill) called Jeffries a “house slave” for George Soros - proving Jeffries’ point.

Holy shit. This is Angelo Elia, a legislative correspondent for Congressman Dave Taylor.

According to @rooster.info, during a Zoom meeting today, he had an American nazi flag displayed in the background.

One of the biggest issues in democratic politics is how the consultants everyone hires sees voters as just a cash machine and they pummel them with messages asking for money instead of activating them for politics. It rightfully makes people extremely cynical.

I can’t help but think today about how many young people were savaged on social media, branded as anti-semites and abandoned by their schools for daring to call for a ceasefire. I remember saying that it was the first time I can remember that calling for ceasefire was regarded as a hostile demand.
"Habeas corpus? I don't know her," is a little too on the nose.

This isn’t funny. Judges only speak to the press when they’re in extreme distress
More judges speak to the press (the NYT) about what a disaster the Supreme Court (specifically the shadow docket) has been - “incredibly demoralizing & troubling”; a “judicial crisis”; a “slap in the face to district courts.” www.nytimes.com/2025/10/11/u...

Giving the Nobel Peace Prize to María Corina Machado is a very effective trojan horse because everyone can pretend that it's a middle finger to Donald Trump when she openly supports the US doing regime change in Venezuela (which is what he also wants)

EXCLUSIVE — DHS Acting General Counsel sent out a memo Wednesday to all Federal Protective Service staff (the sub-agency that guards federal buildings) letting officers know they could take any action necessary "in the vicinity" federal property to protect themselves.

The Handbasket reports:

One of the things about this study is that a lot of baby and toddler books are written in house, by editors. So the study reveals the whiteness of editorial in kidlit even if not explicitly. But, big picture, this trend is unacceptable. I remember so many promises www.theguardian.com/books/2025/o...

Kristi Noem, while governor of South Dakota, supplemented her roughly $130,000 salary by secretly accepting $80,000 donated to a political nonprofit she was affiliated with, records show.

She never disclosed this income on federal ethics forms.

the fun part here is that it’s political corruption because millei is a trump toad, but it’s also personal corruption because it bails out bessent’s hedge fund compatriots, and at the end of the day, doesn’t really help argentina very much at all.
Legitimate question. Does there come a point when a compensation package gets too large and can potentially bankrupt a company? Would that call for shareholders to cite the board for malfeasance?

Country fans are upset with Zach Bryan after he criticized ICE in a song.

But don't let it be known that Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Kris Kristofferson, and Johnny Cash all despised fascism and leaned heavily to the left.

So yesterday a reporter asked Donald Trump about the writ of habeas corpus, and he had no idea what it was.

"I don't know," he said. "I'd rather leave that to Kristi."

Well, It turns out Sen. Hassan asked Kristi Noem about it in May, and this was Noem's response:
HASSAN: What is habeas corpus?

NOEM: Habeas corpus is a constitutional right that the president has to be able to remove people from this country

HASSAN: That's incorrect
