Democrats always seem to find a mathematically exact number of votes to do the wrong thing. Strange how that works. Just enough to say "oh, well, it wasn't me, I was an ally! But those were swing districts, what can you do?" And somehow the number of swing districts changes vote to vote.

Took a break from The Horrors this weekend to see family for an early Christmas. Trees covered in snow outside for the first time in the season. Everyone brought homemade food and gifts. We put ornaments on my parents' tree.

I think a lot of blue maga boomers hate Trump since him being so flagrantly corrupt and evil with zero consequences has proven the idealized America they grew up in never existed.

"why is everything so transactional these days" because ppl that do collective care are literally being priced out of being able to exist. Everyone is stressed and with dysregulated nervous systems.
Another part of making collective care and safe spaces accessible is to stop pricing ppl out of existence.

Still wild to me that companies got together and lied about a mass shoplifting epidemic and fundamentally changed things in all stores so that it’s worse for everyone, and then we found out they lied, and no one fucking did anything about it, and this is just life now

I probably could do a better job of catching myself when I do this too but at this point talking like google is usable sounds like telling a job seeker to simply walk into the building with a resume and a firm handshake or pay for college by selling books door to door

this is ALSO why my top advice for younger people is:
Remember everything that happened during COVID lockdowns, during the Gaza War, etc. because we are twenty years out from tons of people trying to retcon these things to fit their agenda. Do not let them do that.

I saw a guy on the news, on 9/11, on the street in NYC as the WTC burned behind him, telling the reporter "I just hope Bush doesn't start a war over this". We have literally always been here don't let people tell you otherwise
