Is anyone else's Spotify Wrapped just completely hallucinated this year? It said my listening age was 77 and listed two artists and one song I've never even heard of in my top 5 for 2025.

I actively miss getting called out for shit, because when you're called out it sucks but you get the chance to analyze your own behavior for things you should correct. You can always just discard it. But it happening at all means people feel empowered to tell you when you fuck up.

I like that Spanish has "Estadounidense" which is basically "Unitedstatesian" and I think we should start using it.

I don't think I really chose mine. I had computer skills, I had bills, and I had no degree. I had a couple years of college under my belt but couldn't manage to work and go to school full time.

People still don't have SNAP *and the government was already ordered to fund SNAP*. This bill hasn't even passed the house yet, nothing is solved, and the Democrats got *nothing* in return that the administration wasn't *already under legal obligation to do*.

This is absolutely the case. Tech Guys of previous generations, to the extent that that category can be read back into the 19th and 20th centuries, were shockingly well-read by modern standards
it’s also notable how the techbros of today really don’t read *books* anymore - this was really not the case for the Tech Guys of earlier generations, far as I’ve been able to tell

If the Dems blink after all of this, for a deal that all but ensures no ACA subsidies in 2026 anyway, then what was the purpose of letting the shutdown go for 40 days in the first place?
