Back in summer camp, we were given lessons on how to flip a canoe or kayak back over so that we wouldn't drown in a lake BUT SURE I guess you could describe this as "flip a canoe back over so we could go, uh, wrestle someone. Or shoot rifles. Whichever."
Q: What did you see in the second strike?

Cotton: "I saw two survivors trying to flip a boat -- loaded with drugs, bound for the United States -- back over, so they could stay in the fight."

Himes: It was exceedingly hard to watch. Even if you stipulate that it is a war, there is a very specific prohibition against killing individuals who have been removed from the fight. And there is no question that these individuals were removed from the fight.

We shouldn't have armed and masked men stalking the streets for victims to kidnap even if they did "do something wrong."
One of the most striking things about these ICE/BP raids is not that they’re all kitted out for war while going after people who didn’t do anything wrong and don’t pose a threat, but that they always bring a camera crew.

This is absolutely ridiculous. Reporters should *ask* these Republicans if any drugs were visible, and whether it would be at all plausible to "flip the boat," as Tom Cotton claims.

Rep Adam Smith says drugs weren't visible and that the boat was incapacitated. Are Rs saying otherwise?
