I just want you all to know that when we told you that they wanted to destroy everything and you thought Black women were exaggerating? This was the "ironic" racism you said we were overreacting to 10 years ago. Racism has never had generational limits

The next creator owned thing I do will be a west a African sci-fantasy and a thematic, esthetic successor to Djeliya, and I’m still figuring out where to pitch it. Hope it finds a nice home quick. I’m still building the concept but I think it’ll be great and very intune with our current time

Caribu Marley. One of more interesting Japanese comics writers from. The 80s-00s era. Co-creator of Old Boy and frequent collaborator of Jiro Taniguchi (he also did one story with Taiyo Matsumoto). Fun fact: his pen name is an homage to Bob Marley. I love a little Jamaican inspiration.

Struzan’s work was the first art I saw as a kid that made me feel like I saw a magic trick. Like, I knew it wasn’t a photograph, but I just couldn’t work out exactly how it was a painting, either. A true instance of “how is this possible??”

Even after seeing footage of him working it’s still magic

We’ve lost Drew Struzan. A modern master, who by all accounts was a humble, sweet, loving, dedicated man. His work influenced culture itself, & we’ll be seeing that influence until the end of the modern world. What a legacy. What a body of work. May he rest well, & may his memory be a blessing.

I am being asked to tell my department which pieces of lab equipment should be supported with backup power because they expect rolling blackouts and brownouts in 2026 due to increased energy demands from AI. In case you're wondering how my day is going.

Hi #portfolioday! I'm a comic writer from the UK. While I don't yet have a portfolio, last year I made the scary (stupid?) decision to start making comics. I've got two things launching in November: A story in a sci-fi/horror anthology, and a Kickstarter for a fantasy comedy! Links for both below!

RIP Drew Struzan - a man whose talent and imagination etched onto so many minds throughout the last 40+ years.

His art & posters are some of the first visuals I think of when I think about cinema - an invitation to watch these stories and worlds.

A massive loss 💔

I would have read a version of this book with twice as many chapters. Of course I savored the sections that helped fill in my blind spots, but I enjoyed the coverage of what I already knew almost as much. Here's hoping some college comics courses integrate it into the required reading.

An existential Polish thriller that I’m delighted to re-read for book club.

Janina, an eccentric older woman, narrates. She prefers animals to humans, and has strong interests in William Blake and astrology.

When hunters in her rural community are murdered, she gets investigating…

boost your user satisfaction and growth with this one weird trick (removing the shit everyone hates that you added for no reason)
r/SaaS
u/soasme
I deleted ALL AI features... and user growth went UP.

Everyone's busy adding Al to everything.
I did the same for indie10k.com but it didn't work.
I removed all of fancy Al stuff - Al coach, Al growth ideas, Al "personalized" advice - everything.
Guess what?
I see more registered users and higher retention.
That actually make me wonder why now i have one page with one button, without all that Al thingy, but it does better?
Here's my question:
Is Al feature actually helping SaaS grow?
