Today I am starting a thread of my Top 25 Exploitation Films. I am going to try and cover a decent range of sub-genres and pick films I think are the best examples of those sub-genres. I will be going from 25 to 1 and I will update it daily. Thread starts below. 🎥 #Filmsky
I do think, at least for me, horror is the genre maybe best suited to overcoming a mediocre script. If the visual and audio elements are of a high standard (I'm including acting in this) then you can hijack the primal part of my brain.

While this has some issues, this is much stronger than The Monkey and overall I liked this. There is some really strongly unsettling imagery, I especially love a certain scene towards the end. Tatiana Maslany is as stunning as she is talented. Solid spookiness. 📽️ #Filmsky

I really like how Farscape took the idea of the spaceship being a character and made it totally literal. This show is fun as hell, young me had some good taste it seems.

He does also seem to be suggesting that they were killed by a pro-Trumper and that this is good? Am I reading this right?
this is one of the most psychotic things Trump has ever posted

An entire movement built around the fact one man is so uniquely and unashamedly awful that it allows a collection of the world's most snivelling, rancid nasty people on the planet to feel power by association. The entire appeal.

No surer sign of an oddball than someone who retweets every single post in a thread including their own.

I'm sorry to report, but I have no morals or ethics because I watch The Shining ☹️. I've been reliably informed by someone who doesn't consider a 10 year death from a shooting a victim, so they seem a reliable source on my morals and ethics.

Frankly embarrassing how bad right wingers like this are at pretending they're the proper left.

Been slacking with the cinema, so going to do a double bill tomorrow.

I started taking magnesium every day, only on the third day so I doubt I'll notice the benefits yet. Fingers crossed it'll help with migraines/cramp

Stand by Me is one of those films that made me love films and Misery is one of the best horror films of all time. RIP.

This is actually a great film
The Majorettes (1986)
TMDB score 50%

A hooded psycho is murdering high-school girls. A devil-worshiping, drug-dealing biker gang is suspected.

Felt like doing a list, was going to do a Top Ten but I couldn't narrow it down like that. So instead I've done a Top Twenty Crime Films of the 90s. 📽️ #Filmsky (Not in any particular order, these all rock.)

And shamefully I hadn't even clocked till just now that Bojan Bazelli is the cinematographer for both films!
You know what's a good fucking film? Bill Duke's Deep Cover. You know what is also a good fucking film? King of New York by Abel Ferrara. Both with incredible Laurence Fishburne performances. Quite the double bill.

Deep Cover is 31 on Letterboxd when listed by popularity of Laurence Fishburne's filmography. Which is testament both to one hell of a filmography but also how underseen that film is! One of the best crime films of all time! Get it seen people.

Every week now I'll be doing pole dancing at least once, bouldering at least three times and pilates at least four times. Feels positive. Eventually I'm going to add a self defence class of some sort into the mix as well.

You do feel so bad for Billy lol He could only possibly have ended up as a Santa themed spree killer.
I've not really been in the spirit at all this year, going to try and turn that around by watching a classic Christmas film, Silent Night Deadly Night (1984, USA) - Charles E. Sellier Jr. 📽️ #Filmsky

(Genuinely one of the hardest posters of all time, look at it!)

The world is extremely bleak. There is so much suffering, it really does feel overwhelming at points, but we will overcome, probably not in my life time, but I hope to be part of the process that for someone's lifetime, they get to live in a world where this stuff is just for the history books.
BREAKING: The death toll from the Bondi Beach mass shooting has risen to 16, including a child who succumbed to their injuries at Sydney Children’s Hospital, reports New South Wales Health Minister Ryan Park.

So there was an attack on a train in the UK (mental health related) and there is this attack in Australia (terrorism related) and in both instances the right immediately exploited it to tar the entire Muslim community and in both instances it's the bravery of a Muslim man that prevented more deaths?
