New from me for @maargentino.com's blog: A fringe sect of Jewish nationalists are adopting neo-Nazism into their interpretations of Jewish & Israeli nationalism, despite incoherant & contradictictory beliefs.

One end result is a small but extremely cursed ecosystem of Jewish accelerationist memes.
Todays blog post at From The Depths is from @dancollen.bsky.social

The same people who want you to hate Palestinians want you to hate transgender people too. And are not shy about denigrating a person's rabbinical credentials just because she happens to be transgender. She was ordained as a rabbi before she transitioned, fwiw, not that it changes her qualifications

The nonviolent moment was *not* peaceful.

The point was to draw out state violence, and be willing to face batons, water cannons, jail, and worse.

And Martin Luther King still got shot in the head— other civil rights leaders assassinated.

And now, civil rights progress is being rolled back.
retaliating tooth-tooth when bigots bring violence feels good in the moment

strategic non-violent civil disobedience wins in long term👇🏼

certainly do what you need to do in an individual encounter

I’m talking more about how to win in long term & end this madness

One central lesson of 1960s civil rights protests is that activists can “dramatize injustice” through strategic “narrative construction,” essentially creating compelling stories in the media with clear heroes and villains. More in this thread: bsky.app/profile/owas...

This is innumerate nonsense. An average of 1.1 million people were watching The Simpsons throughout its entire thirty-minute broadcast according to a third-party data company contracted to measure viewership by Disney. Somebody, no way to know who, hit the play button 1.7 million times on Twitter

This is nuts!

Why is WAPO writing up anyone’s speculation about who the suspect might be?

I get that Laura’s statements and actions are at times newsworthy given her influence on Trump, but no one’s speculation — outside of a government official’s — should be written up this way.

Oh, let me clarify the misinformation being spread here!

1. Yesterday's court case had nothing to do with CAHN. While we respect their work, we are not supporters or affiliates.

It was a straight up defamation suit against Tanya Fusco. Keven is not an "antifa activist" 🙄

The CDC has turned off its vaccine search tool.

The vaccines.gov site now gives an error when you enter a valid zip code.

They also removed text saying “Vaccines can help you stay healthy” and added a banner saying the site is being updated.

"Bari Weiss says she wants to use her new perch" to "sideline voices" like Nick Fuentes.

Two days ago The Free Press, which Weiss founded, published a puff piece on Fuentes ally Dasha Nekrasova in which she defends Fuentes and her relationship with him.

Sincerely, better luck next time though.

A few weeks back @cbsnews.com's Bari Weiss did an interview on the societal "shift" towards antisemitism with Barstoolsports' head, who rose to fame for pizza reviews.

This week her sister wrote a puff piece for an antisemitic podcaster who claims Jews control the pope, in an outlet she founded.

when I say journalism is dead and has been replaced by PR I'm not kidding you.

This is literally a sponsored article minus the BBC getting paid (as far as we know).
It’s perplexing that the BBC is currently under scrutiny for a supposed liberal bias in favour of trans rights.
Here, a spokesperson for an anti-trans group is quoted, the article says that trans inclusion would be illegal (it wouldn’t) and lists an anti-trans organisation for more info.

It's a censorship engine designed to promote ideas that Elon Musk likes and suppress ideas that Elon Musk does not like. I really don't get why this evident fact - that Musk openly admits! - is so hard for so many people to understand
An X user asks Elon Musk why they’re seeing tweets from left-wing lawmakers.

Musk: “Because we are failing very badly with the recommendations algorithm. Doing my best to address this.”
