Disabled gay elf princess. Creative type with too many interests.
Loves Zelda and Tolkien way too much; loves Tina even more. <3

You may know me from the HM64 projects/modding scene.

For those wondering what I am working on of late, I have been contributing custom assets and user support to various HM64 port projects.
I've also been coordinating with Tolkien Scholars and Font Designers to build consensus and reestablish common encoding of Tolkien's scripts to respect the UCSUR.
Y'know, when using Windows, I used to leave my computer in Standby mode, because the actual startup took forever.
Switching to Linux, Standby has a tendency to lock up - something about my hardware. Only, it's not really a problem, because a cold boot is so fast that it doesn't even matter anyway.

I think you get some slack on a huge solo project. xD

I'm not sure "it's been in development a super long time" is the boost of confidence you think it is.
That suggests a lack of confidence and clear direction, to me, not "endless polish"...

We need options for the suffering to die with dignity.
We need protections for the disabled to not be simply disposed of as an inconvenience.

Both are solved by education and empathy, and understanding that we have value as people beyond a contribution to the Capitalist machine.
I will be the first to admit I couldn’t understand why anyone would oppose Assisted Dying… and then I became disabled and had it “offered” to me.

It’s not compassionate when there’s coercion.

It’s not dignified when it’s offered in lieu of care.

Listen to disabled people.

"Please do this, our very special executives were so proud of it."
You don't get to market yourself up a trendy nickname to sound hip with the kids. I really hate the state of the world; I have a strong feeling kids will latch onto it ironically because it's dumb and goofy.
Self-fulfilling prophecy.
I most certainly will not

When you know that what you're doing actively hurts people, and decide to bury that and stop looking, you are simply evil.
No other way to spin it.
“Meta shut down internal research into the mental health effects of Facebook after finding causal evidence that its products harmed users’ mental health, according to unredacted filings in a lawsuit by U.S. school districts.”

Will they never be held accountable?

Infinite Growth is an impossible fantasy and anyone who sells it is either lying or completely out of touch with reality. Either way, you should never trust them.
Reminder that removing planned obsolescence and creating modular, open, standards-based tech that is repairable and made to last is one of the goals of "degrowth".

People wont be poorer with good, efficient tech. You just wont be get the bloated growth figures of continually expanding consumption.
there has been no meaningful improvement in the devices or their functionality in 10 years in any way that affects what any normal person uses them to do, people only switch when forced updates cause a device which worked fine yesterday to lag so bad you can't type at full speed until you replace it

Real Simple Syndication.
Think of it as kinda like a Bluesky feed - websites have an RSS feed you can add to a feed reader; when the website updates, a new post is added to the feed, so when you check the reader, you can see if anything new had posted.
No accounts needed; no third party interference

I've not! Will have to look into it, cheers!

I usually use DDG myself, but the results still aren't great - it's pulling from Microsoft's Bing, just scrubbing all the evil tracking nonsense.

We need a new, perhaps federated, search engine platform that puts finding good information above making money.

LRP: I want to read *more* about games I'm *not* going to play - games I *can't* play. I don't need to be convinced whether to play something, I want to hear about the experience, and what insights you have *about* that experience, if I'm reading about something that wasn't on my radar already.

If you're thinking "I'm never going to play this, so what's the point?" - I want to show you something special, and I want you to enjoy your time reading about it too. Come see my sidequest struggles. Let me tell you why the characters are fun and battles are exciting. Let me share this with you.

Google hasn't created anything they haven't ruined.
We need to free ourselves from Google.

RSS feed readers feel like a forgotten magic - people kinda forgot that we had a tool for tracking updates to websites with no algorithms, just what you want to see, as it goes up.

I do like how there are a bunch of votes at the UN that are basically this now.

The US has voted in favor of torture and fascism, while voting against food as a human right and ending sanctions on Cuba.
Out of 178 countries, only the US, Israel & Argentina opposed a UN Vote against the use of Torture.

I was mentored by Pixar Alum - the man who taught me what I know *made* Toy Story - and honestly, the only opinion I have is that I'm so tired of what Pixar has become.

I'll never forgive them for what they did to Brenda Chapman, too.

The size of screen you need to actually see the difference between HD and 4K at a normal viewing distance is absurd. Unless you're using a big monitor at work desk distance, and you really need a lot of pixel real-estate for like, video editing or programming, you DO NOT need 4K.
you don't need 4k and you certainly dont need 8k. if you tell me you can tell the difference i will simply not believe you

I think I needed real proof that you can work towards something like that, and it's not a divine skill you just... *have* - you study, learn, and gain skills to be able to do cool stuff. Mere mortals can just learn to make games and things!
For some reason, I needed that proven to me.
Thanks Ian. 💖

I was miserable and wanted to die; everyone told me I could never do what I wanted - it's not possible, you can never be good enough.
Seeing @polygoncherub.bsky.social's constant improvement as an artist, and development as a 3D artist through college showed me it WAS possible, so I stuck it to 'em.
What’s the lore behind choosing your career path ?

No going deeper, no exploring of why, no solution at all proposed... just an observation that the world sucks and it sucks that it sucks.
It's so bleak and nihilistic; just holding up a mirror to the world and shrugging with nothing to add. It's hashtag-content for zombies, by zombies.

I've noticed a really disappointing trend with modern media - I don't know if it's just because Media Literacy is so low, but I see all these things setting up an obvious social commentary... but not going anywhere with it.
Like "here's the situation! ... Kinda sucks, right? ... Yeah..."
November 23, 2025 at 9:17 AM
Yeah, I think that's about as good as you could possibly get without seeing the actual textless asset to confirm anything.

The myth is circulating again that it was more radical otg activists and assimilationist gays ("boots and suits") teaming up that was responsible for queer communities' gains late '60s on.

The history doesn't back this up. What actually happened is more revealing. 🧵

Let's start with Stonewall...

Guys. GUYS.
It's a *Shakespeare RPG*.
What the heck is wrong with you!? This should be selling a bajillion copies!!

Genuinely stunned to hear it sold poorly!
This Way Madness Lies is a great game and barely anybody bought it. It should be played by more people. If everybody here on @bsky.app banded together and bought a Steam copy and played it, well, that'd be a miracle and I would be forever grateful.
