In-universe Elmo, Abby and the other Sesame Street muppets are just monster actors who are pretending to be children and have their own TV shows/segments. (It's clearly acting for Elmo, an accomplished concert pianist, to struggle when playing "twinkle, twinkle").

So much of the longform I read is just so poorly written: each sentence crafted carefully, yet each paragraph and idea jumping back and forth as if they were a Game Of Thrones character, while the central thesis and flow of action are left abandoned to the show Producers.

If I wanted to peruse the associative hyperfixations of a sickly nerd (similar to myself), I would re-read Proust, which I am currently doing. But even in his semiautobiographical extended masturbatory masterpiece, he threads the needle of each major topic and weaves them together.
