Here’s some fuel just in case you feel your deep hatred for Seymour is waning.

(Although Twyford will undoubtedly be cast as the villain in this going forward). #nzpol

I want every person who voted for that sack of shit to have a school meal delivered to them, & for someone to watch over them as they eat it. They voted for it, they can eat it.

Going to the IKEA opening? You may be thinking about going by bike 🚲

⚠️ Please be careful: it's an area for experienced bike riders, with some more dangerous areas. If you're not sure, the train is an option

If you do bike there, this map shows a good approach 💡

Why the fuck don’t all academics wear high quality masks ALL THE TIME. Do y’all not understand that you need your brain to do your jobs?

Over the last 5 years I’ve watch many people get slowly less capable of doing their mahi. I don’t understand why I’m the weird one out.
Mild Covid-19 linked to structural brain changes and neuronal damage.

"Research shows that even mild cases of Covid-19 can lead to measurable brain damage and neurodegeneration, especially when cognitive symptoms such as memory decline persist after infection."

What are the chances that a container of meals was removed by Compass then *left in the Compass vehicle* over the weekend and re-delivered with new meals on Monday?? 🤔
the school at the centre of the moldy lunches incident has camera footage that MPI has viewed & they say it shows Compass taking containers away...

So why on EARTH are media running David Seymour's attack lines blaming the school at this stage, & the only story I've seen mention the footage is RNZ?

Today I ticked over 2000km on my cargo e-bike! 🚲

That’s mainly errand-running trips, mostly around the 3km distance. Well over 600 trips done by bike rather than car.

Better for me physically and mentally, and better for the planet. I love my bike so much! 😁

This Sunday! If you’re keen to see, chat about and maybe even try a variety of cargo bikes, head to the Cargo Bike Picnic. Cargo bike owners LOVE to talk about their bikes!

Join the short ride along the City to Sea cycleway or meet the picnic at Avebury Park/Riverlution from about 10:45am.

In March this year I emailed Peggy Burrows to voice my support for her public stance re the school lunch disgrace. I noted the courage it takes as a Principal to speak up.
Her lovely reply made me tear up. She takes her role as a strong advocate for her students and their whānau deeply seriously.
Seymour labels principal at centre of mouldy school lunches a media 'frequent flyer'
The principal has hit back saying the food is delivered daily and leftovers removed.

And yet we continue to get umpteen articles and comments about a decrease in student achievement/effort/attitude with ZERO acknowledgement of the known effects of covid infection on the brain and nervous system.
Even 2 years after infection, around 40% of young people are still experiencing significant fatigue — indicating a major long-term health issue affecting a substantial proportion of youth who have had COVID-19.

I have two bunches to gift. Would any of my close neighbours like one or both? I’ll deliver by bike today.

The thought of Labour willingly partnering with NZ First, a party that consistently posts vile thoughts (and progresses vile policy) targeting the trans community, is abysmal.
It’s also another argument for voting NZ Greens, who does not stay silent on trans rights.
Back vocal support - not silence.

Warm homes are not aspirational.
Affordable food, power and rent aren’t aspirational.
Health and social services that centre health and people are not aspirational.
These are not inspired ideas. They are basic, 101 hallmarks of a functioning country.
Leadership that gets that *would* be inspiring.

For context, these were due to be published in March 2025. The NZ govt prevented their publication because they intended to ban puberty blockers and the guidelines show they are safe, effective, and standard care internationally. Today they were released in an OIA putting them in the public domain.
In some good news, today PATHA has finally been able to release the 2025 Guidelines for Gender Affirming Care in Aotearoa New Zealand. You can read them here: patha.nz/resources-an...

It is absolutely critical to democracy that communities directly own their water infrastructure but also unimportant that those same communities get to decide how they look after our environment?
