My Papaw fought in the Pacific in WWII, which likely had a lot to do with that.
I was raised from birth to know that racism is wrong and all of my family hated white supremacists and the KKK. That’s not to say they had a perfect understanding of racism, but they never endorsed overt racism.

My father grew up in rural Appalachia and the county schools were desegregated when he was seventh grade. Both of his parents (white mom, Cherokee dad) made it clear that he and his siblings were to be friendly with the Black kids, and they would be punished if they were involved in racist bullying.

When we say "billionaires shouldn't exist", it's because no private individual should be able to bully a government into enacting their own personal whims.
What I hear from multiple sources in the Scottish Government is that it feels defeated by the limitless spending power of the transphobes who, of course, are explicitly or implicitly underwritten by JK Rowling's vast fortune.

We have the government white women allow us to have. I always vote for my daughter’s best interests but not enough women do. There are more women voters in the US and they vote in higher percentages. Girl Dads help but we can’t want something for others more than they want for themselves.
