I've never been to Somalia, but I wrote in The Family about US Christian nationalism's role in devastating it, and I've been blessed by knowing a few fabulous Somali-Americans, some of whom escaped the horrors of US warring on their land. Trump isn't fit to touch the hem of their garments.

Not just that, but all budget negotiations are meaningless now since Trump is unencumbered by old notions like "appropriations" or "oversight". We (SSA) have had a budget all year, but we're unable to even buy toilet paper in our offices because purchase cards have a $1 limit. It's a joke.

If you see furloughed federal workers, civil servants and contractors, lining up at food banks during the shut down, don’t be too surprised. Many federal workers live paycheck to paycheck - and are far from the “lazy wasteful bureaucrats” the regime wants you to imagine.
