There are many ways to be an up stander vs frozen bystander. That’s why doing some basic training helps- gives us options depending on situation, our comfort level with risk, safety of others, etc. Also: join a rapid response group in your community. They do training as well

Very often in difficult situations, bystanders freeze. Research shows that it can take just one person to act to then motivate others to act. I encourage us all to take bystander training ( YouTube has many) l. It might help.

In the instructions to federal agencies, DEI policies & initiatives were defined as “illegal discrimination”. There were hundreds of “forbidden words” DOGE filtered for (e.g. to terminate public programs & contracts). The words “white” & “male” were not on that list. Surprise!
