Leadership would have you so tired, so poor, so disempowered, that you only watch your own back.

This is what happens when we don’t watch each others back.

Join a union that cares about *everyone* and work hard to keep everyone safe. Including people that are at risk from viruses.

“A very rich country allows people to be under nourished because profit-making is king” would be a much more appropriate headline.

“Cheap” is the operative word here. People eat what they can afford - in time, money and effort.
“Industry” and “nutrition” do not belong in the same sentence.
Cheap and unhealthy foods are set to become further entrenched in the Australian diet, according to health experts.

I don’t understand why this is a pie. It’s a tart! A pie has a lid, a top of some kind of pastry. If it’s just a base and filling it’s called a tart.
What is WRONG with America?
(Rhetorical question)
😂😂😂😂
I heard I missed pie discourse. Pie is arguably the worst dessert. Except for this god-tier pie from Fluff Bake Bar in Houston.

So many people are wondering if behaviour and attitudes really are getting worse. Yes. Yes they are.
And this is why.
EVERYONE WHO HAS HAD COVID HAS BRAIN DAMAGE.
Reduced empathy, disinhibition, poor decision making, less analytical thinking.
The world is worse because people are losing humanity
New studies come out all the time. I understand it’s hard to face but everyone should know the truth.

“Everyone [who’s] had COVID-19 tends to have some lasting reduction in brain blood flow (CBF), mainly in frontotemporal areas – even if they feel 100% recovered [and the infection was mild].”
Latest 🚨🧵by Dr. @harryspoelstra.bsky.social on Covid's impact on the right-occipital areas, where visual information is processed!

SARS-CoV-2 "...causes persistent cerebral hypoperfusion (mainly frontotemporal) that can still be detected months later..."

This leads to what I mean by antifascist economics. It doesn’t target one party; it tackles the material conditions that make fascism appealing: insecurity, despair, unmet basic needs. Policies that make life affordable are not just social policy, they are democracy insurance.

—you gotta do to keep that respect. Not picky at all.

What people are actually reacting to is the audacity of a disabled person expecting respect. The right to self-name. The right to shape the conversation about themselves.

It’s not petty. Just assume we know something you don’t know about that—

If a Muslim man had sent a death threat to a white male politician it would be terrorism. The media would be screaming.
Violence against women is quickly forgotten, even forgiven. If you are a woman of colour or of faith, you are considered fair game.
Australia is as racist & sexist as anywhere.
52yo Sean Sharman sent a death threat to 30yo Federal MP Fatima Payman. The judge: Payman was targeted bc of her gender, race & religion, it was offensive, hateful & racist. No jail time. Media: he'd been drinking. Now imagine if a Muslim man had sent a death threat to an MP. #auspol #justice
