Still, fruitlessly, holding out for a second season of Guillermo Del Toro's Cabinet Of Curiosities. There are so many stories that would make an incredible episode of an anthology horror series.

Had an excellent time at Barnes & Noble Southpointe in #LNK talking horror, writing, our anti-AI sentiments. They are such wonderful hosts and local authors are very fortunate to have one of our B&N locations not only support, but openly advocate for us. Shout-out to Ally. You're gem and a real one.

Why do people post screenshots of AI answers in the context of providing a "source" for their information? AI is not credible and never has been. It is widely known to be unreliable for this purpose (and most purposes, honestly).

Many full time creatives have “invisible safety nets” like bread-winning partners, trust funds, external support, etc. No shame on anyone, but it creates a false vision of success. The cost of going to cons alone on top of hoping to eat as a freelancer are untenable, IMO.
When people hear that I'm returning to part time work they often ask "are things not going well with your art?"

The problem really is things are going well, but the world is so unstable that I long for some consistency and income that I don't have to pay quarterly taxes on

What the French-fried fuckity fuck?

I emphatically did not opt IN to this and now I have to log in and opt OUT?

When you’ve already done a thing I not only disapprove of, but that also makes literally no sense?

You can’t turn my old paper into an analogy. That’s not how papers or analogies work

Hell yeah @beardedbetts.bsky.social doing his own shit 🐍
Once in awhile very important literature crosses your path and you must look in the mirror and ask: am I going to publish a book about a guy who shits snakes? Yes I am. Yes I am. Very excited for @beardedbetts.bsky.social wtf bizarro body horror novel to come out Jan 2027. 🐍 💩 🧑‍⚕️
