One of the first pieces I rug hooked. I never finished the background, so finally did it. I will hand sew this to some fabric to make an 18 inch pillow. #ArtAdventCalendar.

Gotta say, hitting the year mark of when I first launched my independent news outlet is SCARY. I've had about a 10% drop in income after passing the "auto renew" dates from my initial launch, eek!

If you have some extra cash and wanna spend it on some independent journalism, consider subscribing :)

Send a message to Ottawa: don’t give fossil fuel companies the license to lie to us. Choose truth, health and transparency instead.

People aren't getting it.

Carney plans to spend $1.7 billion on recruiting researchers from the US or who would otherwise go to the US.

Yay, right?

The *entire annual budget* of NSERC is $1.3 billion. And he's cutting that.

This is the US setting up Indigenous people. No one heard of them because they aren't Indigenous people or they are acting outside of any community which I doubt. Isahell hates native people too. 🪶
Something is just not right about this. I mean, of all the organizing work I've done with organizations around the world....never heard of Turtle Island Liberation Front. I'm also here in Los Angeles and never came in contact with these folks.
