Unfortunately, fossil fuels aren't really an answer to any of these challenges. Any new pipeline is - objectively - a decade away from tidewater and markets are fading fast. You want home grown resilience? Build renewables, invest in the grid, especially in sunny, windy Alberta.

Having said this - if this gov’t backtracks significantly on the climate file I will be voting Green in the next election. It seems we’re back to being hewers of wood, drawers of water under Carney.

The government keeps catering to Pathways in every conceivable way, and I can't wait for them to just fold and start directly subsidizing them (beyond the tax credits they're already getting).
This is a stunning story. I've been tracking the "greenhushing" narrative for a while now: this is the idea that strict regulations on fake climate claims spooks companies into total silence; therefore we shouldn't regulate them.
