I don't have a Ring camera & avoid doors that have them. twice we were doorstepped by community police officers "offering" us a "free" Ring through a London Met/Amazon partnership. The 2nd time we said no, they said they wouldn't investigate any crimes at our property if we didn't take one.

also ofc history never strictly repeats. i'd expect any sort of alternative/counter-culture wave to feel much different than 1991 if it did happen. i just feel like there's a lot more connection between underground culture of the 1980's and underground internet culture of today than people think

The stench of antiblack racism permeates "On Vioence".

She makes a few good points, but I can't recommend it when so many said the same things without her unrepentant and barely disguised contempt for Black people.

Amazon publishes a Modern Slavery Statement that keeps changing slightly as they get caught doing more dirt. In 2021, it said no prison labor. Now it says no involuntary or exploitative prison labor.

Been practicing painting for October, made a thing
