Hey! It's station identification time!
I'm Cat Farris, comic book artist and cartoonist. Here's what my art looks like:

Australia's humpback whales are doing so well that their population is expected to reach carrying capacity and plateau in the near future--they have not just reached but exceeded pre-whaling numbers. For this to happen with such a long-lived, slow-reproducing species is near miraculous. #goodnews
These whales were hunted to 150 individuals. Now there are 50,000 of them
Once hunted almost to extinction, the population of humpback whales currently migrating down Australia's east coast has bounced back and is now greater than before whaling.

Went to Canada recently! Here's stuff I saw.
Yes, it's poutine. From Costco!! An overflowing to-go container full of Costco poutine. Seen at Richmond Night Market. A boxy human-ish mascot for a Stinky Tofu stall. He's holding his nose, looks like he's going to barf, and a single tear is coming from his eye. Next to him is a sign with a picture of stinky tofu with the word "Stinky" on it Random thrift store sweatshirt hanging on a rack. It says "Fries before guys". Minutes before dusk at a marsh near Maple Ridge, Canada. Clear sky, yellow marsh grasses, striking blue mountains, all reflected in a pond.

at some point today we're going to be out among thousands of equally concerned citizens in the streets. At first you'll feel bolstered that American indifference is a myth, and a LOT of us care. Then you'll look more at the crowds and think "you know, this COULD be a national strike"

Portland: according to a post on the local Reddit, Noem's visit to the ICE building is being purposefully extended until after dark, presumably to catch some "violent antifa" propaganda. Hold off for tonight, watch out for your neighbors' safety.
Putting this here in the hopes it gets more visibility. FYI for anybody to pass along to people protesting. My company has buildings in the area and were notified that they are holding the motorcade through tonight, meaning they are using her visit at this location as a way to try to provoke protesters into an altercation which they can use justify their response. PLEASE DO NOT ALLOW THAT TO HAPPEN. Even better would be to just not protest tonight and give them nothing to use to push their narrative.

It's not like the whole point of Patreon is to help me get paid for my work. And now I can't get paid because Stripe is broken for me. And it's very clear that Patreon support is incompetent and couldn't possibly care less.

Got a business bank account like a professional, and in trying to swap to it for my Patreon deposits it instead just broke my Stripe account. Patreon support has been appallingly useless. I've been talking with them for three weeks and all they say is "we're working on it, please wait."

This dog has been putting in her best effort to keep me from fully flipping my lid. I just came out of the bathroom furious and falling apart, and Coco wagged her tail at me with a look that said "Don't cry, don't be mad. Come lay next to me and give me pets instead." Bless.
