Are skeet-ups a thing? Anyone want to descend on the Anchorage Museum sometime mid-day Thursday or Friday?
I hope my big Tanzanite postcard is still there! People kept sending me pictures all summer but I haven't seen it yet.

I'm at the Alaska Wholesale Gift Show this week. Come by and chat if you're around. Or join me in a mid-day escape to the museum tomorrow!

I worked on this editorial for more than half a year. I hope it adequately captures the challenges of Alaska media. Big thanks to @adndotcom for publishing it. www.adn.com/opinions/202... #akleg #AlaskaHistory

I'll be doing a talk at Loussac Library in Anchorage tonight and a book signing at Title Wave this next Saturday. Looking forward to seeing friendly faces in Anchorage!
Anchorage friends! I am doing a presentation at the Loussac Library next week and I would love to see you there! I'll be talking political satire, picture books, small business, moms, dads, libraries, arts and culture... Everything. #akleg #alaskasky

Ok. I do love that "The Strange Old Wooden Boat" is our top news story right now.

Love this for Alaska. Dan can finally retire, go back to Ohio and eat farmed fish for dinner every night.

I'm from a small Yup’ik fishing village on the Kuskokwim River. Fishing is how we feed our families and learn life’s lessons.

I've seen firsthand how our fisheries have suffered, and I won't sit back while DC politicians do nothing to stop it.

a central conceit of many people trapped (without their knowledge) on FB and x, is a kind of flat-earther view of the perceived world beyond their own login borders

and yet, for example, I have been buying and selling my shit on craiglist & irl totally without using FB marketplace this entire time

This is…

A) …market-moving information. And, in fact, it appears there was action on Polymarket around the time of this post

B) …another attack on the (still reliable) work of the professionals at BLS.

C) …yet another example of him not believing the rules apply to him, and getting away w it
Kai, could you educate us with a few sentences why?

#akleg Op-ed from Claman to pair with SJR2, a constitutional amendment to lower the veto threshold in Alaska. This makes a ton of sense to me, Alaska has the highest threshold in the nation and this is a good way to reign in executive power.
Opinion: Alaska’s budget shouldn’t hinge on a supermajority
A 1959-era veto rule gives governors outsized power over today’s Legislature — and Senate Joint Resolution 2 would finally restore balance.
