I went to the “liberal” college in Kansas and they were bringing Anne Coulter to campus and wearing tshirts that said “hate us today be employed by us tomorrow” they did sometimes get protested by Fred Phelps crew for being too liberal but not because they weren’t racist

내 친구의 친구가 이스라엘 유태인 남자 (백인) 랑 결혼하는데 개신교 신자인 엄마가 반대할까봐 엄청 걱정했으나… 어머님이 예수와 같은 나라 사람이고 같은 인종이라 최고라고 너무 기뻐서 울었대서

예수가 백인이었을리가 😂 했는데

친구가 이 이야기를… 왜 극우 기독교 집회에 미국 국기와 이스라엘 국기가 같이 나오는지 설명하면서 해줌

When I was on campus, the College Republicans were really this way. They followed around and threatened us (a bunch of queer femmes), and posted our information on some fringe far right groups.

For those tempted to say Young Republicans have always been this way, they really have not. When I worked on campus and did bipartisan college events after, they were very much not like this.

That’s why groups like YCT and eventually TPUSA formed — because Young Republicans weren’t radical enough.

i can understand that some people in some corners of some conservative organizations that groom the youth (which is what YR does) weren't this way, but i also know that one person's personal memories and interpretations of their own past are not necessarily reflective of how things actually were
