Yet again, a theory proven as fact by the world’s greatest metropolis, Jacksonville, well prior to backwards podunk New York figuring it out, but it’s a gift every municipality deserves.
I’m starting to wonder if looking genuinely happy and acting like you really love the city is a more effective way to campaign (and govern) than scowling about what a shithole the city is and how many more cops it will take to subdue it.
Outside Gracie Mansion. This is his job. But dare I day it he seems genuinely affected and happy to be there. There’s potentially immense power in that.

I am once again asking if there is a Chief of Staff Actual or only Deputies Chief of Staff.

Think I figured out the break-glass solution to impeachment’s dysfunction: an amendment where a two-thirds vote of both houses necessitates a special election for President and VP in 60 days to serve out the remainder of the term. 3/4ths in both houses & the incumbents are barred from participating.

Lots of people making fun of this but FinTwit along with Sports Twitter are the sole remaining valid use cases of the hellsite and FinTwit in particular is so overrun with spam that I think there’s a good shot the remaining useful accounts come over here rather quickly.

yea the military seem like a preferable option for any city at this point. military soldiers didn’t enlist bc they were excited to fight a race war against american citizens. they are trained to operate in stressful/hostile environments without committing war crimes against civilians.

This would be an improvement for Minnesotans, as random members of the 4th Infantry Division are much less likely to steal phones from high schoolers and sell them to kiosks at Walmart.

All deployments of repressive Trumpist forces are based on lies. Why assume he’s holding back due to lack of factual basis?
Possible he likes the looming threat more, wary of how the military responds, that it won’t end protests, and his fans will be disappointed.

I think Democrats in Congress should begin to make the argument that any attack against Greenland, and Denmark as a NATO ally, absent congressional authorization is an illegal order that must be disobeyed.

People are very busy, and especially in this untrustworthy media environment, tune out everything not immediately related to their responsibilities that day until reality demands otherwise, at which point their basic morality, sensibility, and patriotism do shine through.
Man I am getting a completely different takeaway from this chart than everyone else. This is a sign that electoral politics isn’t really about policy or messaging, it’s about large groups of people reacting to events. People don’t hear arguments, they see things happening and change their stances.
