years. I didn't have a copay, I've rarely had a prescription refused, and they're super generous with mental health appointment allowance.

But then I got sucker punched; My insurance won't pay for a new hearing aids unless I'm employed. Y'know, that thing I have trouble being due to disability

I'm not sure many people appreciate that Medicaid is... complicated. For all the improvements, you're still basically taking a gamble once a year that you can pick the provider that will fuck you over the least.

Honestly even then it can sneak up on you; I *really* like my insurance for a few

In a similar note, over on the disability side we keep losing more and more accessibility support.

The hearing aids I got nearly ten years ago cost me nothing.

Now if I need a new pair (I do), I need to pay at *least* half the cost and that's gonna be probably 1k upfront.

I'd chalk the weirdness up to how fast 4 and 5 were written. IIRC 4 was finalized in under two months. with the initial draft being two weeks at most.
