ICE ended up returning the man, Saly, after realizing he’s a fucking US citizen with no criminal record, per his sister-in-law. These fucking animals.

Today we went to a supermercado and bought more food than we might need. As we walked in we saw three large coolers and opened them. The farthest one had warm, fresh corn tortillas. They are so good.

Am I proud of my state? Yes. Yes I am. Also, that occasionally someone asks for the flag back is hilarious.
A good time to remind everyone of the Minnesota First. One of the earliest state militias to volunteer to fight in the Civil War—three years after joining the Union! Provided one of the essential turning points at Gettysburg. Took the flag of the Virginia regiment they captured AND STILL HAVE IT.

So, we see Ha Tien has whole bbq duck, but it is not close to us.

Do any food related peeps know where to find a delicious bbq duck in the Northern Suburbs?
Because these international grocers need your support now more than ever, especially during these times, here’s a guide to the international grocers of the Twin Cities that I wrote for @racketmn.com: racketmn.com/guide-intern...

We had the band over yesterday to celebrate the eldest child. We forgot to put out the ice cream. Also, there is basically a leftover 2 liter of root beer.

Now it’s a love story.

Anti-Islam protesters attempt to get into closed Minneapolis City Hall: The group led by Jake Lang tried to get inside the building, but City Hall is closed, as it is every Saturday.

Lang did not have a permit to hold a rally in the rotunda as he claimed.

Do not go to Cedar Riverside if you don’t live or work there today. There will be plenty of coverage of what happens. You will not get a scoop nor praise if you add fuel to this. Maybe go find a mutual aid org or a new immigrant owned restaurant to visit instead.
Please read and share with anyone who might be planning on counterprotesting in Cedar-Riverside this weekend

Mf’ers. Do not mess with @mischieftoy.com We all love them.

Also, do not doubt that the regime is scouring social media for victims.
DHS employees entered our store this afternoon and served us a Notice of Inspection, demanding copies of I9 forms for each employee.

In 27 years as shopkeepers, we have never been subjected to this type of investigation.

1: I believe in trans rights. Bodily autonomy is a battle cry in our home.
2: Minnesota is suffering many harms right now. Not a single instance is due to trans inclusive athletics. 0. None.
3: ICE out of MN now.
For today's horribles: the Supreme Court will hear oral arguments on banning trans athletes. It's the most bigoted thing they'll do this term. I'll be jotting down my thoughts here.

Reposting this morning. They are at 89%. Bobby needs specialized nutritional support and it costs 1700$ a month. Can folks help them make it to the full amount? I really do appreciate all the support so far. This family is dear to me.
Our dear friend Anne died on Christmas of ovarian cancer, leaving her wife Valerie and their son Bobby. This family matters so much to me. They got to know us after Bobby was diagnosed with Down syndrome before he was born, and our families remain close. Help if you can. Just a repost helps.

If you can help Valerie and Bobby it would be a great kindness. I have known them Bobby’s whole life and they are dear to us. Anne was an amazing person and it was a very aggressive cancer.

From ice out dot org. Really stunning comparison.
Map shows reports of ICE activity in and around the Twin Cities on Sunday alone. Los Angeles and New York shown for comparison.

This particular resource may be less utilized in other cities, but it’s clear that Minnesotans are not afraid to continue documenting the actions of these thugs.

I lived by this corner for over ten years. Every year there was a huge puppet parade that went down the street, the sun returning to everyone’s joy. I bought food, would catch my bus to work, and went to the doctor at this corner. This is not a war zone. It is a community being destroyed by thugs.
I'm sorry, but you cannot reason with folks who are not embarrassed to wear this kit on the streets of the United States of America.

if we did $2k in 20 minutes we can do $24k by the end of the day, right?
