If Admiral Bradley didn’t realize before that these cowards were setting him up to take the fall, he knows it now. Time to hire a good lawyer.

there had to be a way of saying this without just ruling it out in this congress even if you expect it to fail, this is what i'm talking about, it makes everyone unhaply! bsky.app/profile/notd...
No one would ever mistake me for a Jeffries defender but this headline really did him dirty. What he DID say is that even though the Republicans will shut down impeachment he expects future criminal prosecutions

(Not dunking, just starting a new thread)

There is something to be reconciled with here between opposition to "blood and soil" nationalist claims and opposition to indigenous dispossession

Im certainly not the guy to solve this but I personally land hard on the first side.
rights to their own land because it's the same as the blood and soil nazi bullshit that europeans invented, specially when TO THIS DAY there are indigenous people being expelled from their lands in the whole american continent and being denied their rights to their ancestry. It just showed how

You don't even need party lists. With single transferable vote, you can just have voters rank all candidates. Any candidate over quota gets a seat. Gerrymandering is oversolved lol.

Increasingly convinced that freedom of movement and ease of attaining citizenship in one’s chosen country is the great social reform of our time, and once achieved it will have enormously far-reaching effects, mostly positive, on a par with the eight hour day and maybe even the abolition of slavery.

I wouldn’t decrease vocational training per se, but I think we have to bring back the idea that education’s mission is not just to prepare people for jobs but to prepare them for citizenship
Yeah that's why I think Dem policy should focus specifically on expanding the demographics which are most likely to be Dem supporting.

Public education, free CC, subsidies for state 4y degrees, *decreasing* vocational education (or making it meet standard college reqs), enact more loan forgiveness.

Law enforcement should be a form of involuntary national service with limited and highly scrutinized career positions
One of the reasons police officers are the way they are is we expect them to deal with the absolute worst of humanity day in and day out. We have to be rotating these people more.
this is a through-line on a number of jobs that we ask mostly-men to do: they are catastrophically bad for mental health, and we know this, and we do not make sufficient provision for care for it.

not gonna be a popular take but “cop” is one of those jobs

Reporter: You said that that second strike was in full accordance with the law of armed conflict but the Navy's own manual of law of war says that specifically firing on survivors from a wrecked vessel is an example of a war crime that's forbidden under U.S. Law and the law of armed conflict…

You have trans communists who apply their perpetual salt with socdems over 1918 Germany to their communities, which explains why they get so rabid with liberal trans people like McBride or Starfish.

And many times I've seen them bring their cis comrades into the mix for help in the lynch mob.
