In case you’re wondering why Pete Hegseth is freaking out about a congressional video reminding the military not to participate in illegal orders:
To put a finer point on this whole thing: "Two people with direct knowledge of the operation" — presumably uniformed military leaders — are accusing the U.S. Secretary of Defense of personally ordering specific war crimes. That's a historic accusation.

<div class="field field-field-text"><p>Roughly half of Gaza’s emergency services have shut down as severe fuel shortages paralyze rescue, firefighting and evacuation work, Al Jazeera reported.</p>
<p>The Civil Defence agency accused the UN Office for Project Services of imposing what it described as restrictive and obstructive measures that prevented it from receiving the fuel needed to operate fire trucks, ambulances, and generators.</p>
<p>Teams are unable to reach thousands of damaged and unstable buildings, and officials warn that search and recovery operations could come to a complete stop. Firefighting and emergency response capacity has also dropped sharply. </p>

It may be premature to treat this as traditional terrorism.
It sounds like this guy was one of the people everyone involved in Afghanistan said should be protected, bc going back would be a death sentence.
