A fixed price forward contract can be pretty lucrative.

For example, if most of your assets and earnings are in dollars, a contract from the list below is now 11% cheaper at settlement than five days ago. #BitcoinIsTheFuture

(or 20% cheaper in Cardano!)

This might be the funniest article of October.

Procrastinators unite! I had about two hours I needed to finish up early this a.m. I was going to do it last night but found this full, free version on an official youtube channel. The die was cast...

So when they get hacked the chats and other content of age-verified customers could be used for humiliation or extortion?
The US soybean checkoff program has been collecting and spending obscene amounts each year. And they didn't even come up with bio/renewable diesel. Credit goes to hippies, Willie Nelson and Neil Young. ;-)
It's a fool's game trying to discern a strategy, but it sounds like he doesn't even know that we import used cooking oil. And then there's the matter of higher domestic edible vegetable oil prices if we burn even more of it.
Re the note from El Presidente - if only he had a brain and understood the importance of China to US agriculture, esp over the last 25 yrs, or asked people about the complicated, totally-uneconomic-even-without-trade wars-renewable-diesel-business.
This is up there with Elmo:

"it should be illegal not to advertise on Twitter" --> "how dares china not buy our soybeans?"
P.S. If you paid attn to certain areas of social media, you'd think everyone has moved back to the land to have six kids, milk one cow and bake sourdough bread all day long. But the Trad Wives aren't moving the needle on farm count.
An overview. @profsecchi.bsky.social and @anneschech.bsky.social also write about this and point out the absurdity of USDA crowing about 2M farms to justify welfare programs. Reality: there is high concentration and only 1.9M "farms" and shrinking.

Probably AI slop, but this time it's pretty good slop.
Well, pardner, I reckon it's been that way for a long time. USDA has a very generous definition of farm and we're all steeped in the myth of the American West.
And in just a couple of years Harv and Marv were looking for a bailout, beginning a two decade spending orgy
encouraged by feckless politicians and paid for by taxpayers.
What's going to happen when they take away Thomas' right to vote and be married to a white woman and Thiel and Grenfell's gay marriage?
Avian flu update: Using a 40-day late summer/early fall time period it's 10x worse than a year ago. Surprising b/c it's been quite warm and dry and given USDA's victory laps.

Mar: Rollins says USDA’s plan to address HPAI is working
Jun: Rollins says avian influenza strategy has worked
So many identities and colors. Celebrate diversity/DEI! ;-)
Is his work accessible to non-economists? I enjoy reading about economic history and technological change but am less interested in all the equations to impress peers, superiors and committees, although I realize that's part of the gig, too.

The Texas Military Department confirmed to @taskandpurpose.com it had replaced some of the 200 National Guard troops sent to Chicago for not being "in compliance" with validation standards. This came after photos of heavyset NG members were widely mocked. taskandpurpose.com/news/texas-n...

I think it dropped 11% in a day. That's to be expected for a highly speculative asset (or any asset over several days). They shouldn't be crying the blues unless they're using a lot of leverage.
IIRC from COVID no major religion prohibits vaccines.

These are the kinds of people that used to be fleeced by the Franklin Mint and other firms with their "limited edition" collectible crap advertised in inserts of the Sunday paper.
Watch out - the Hoosiers are going to want to rip you apart.
