"The Town Mouse & the Country Mouse" - an updated version of the fable.

Context: Facebook buyer of coins was an hour late. No text or phone, just a FB msg later. It's sunny, mid-day, everyone has GPS, and while urban area has 2.7M people, the "battleground" of Mpls is only 430K. <shrugs>

Exactly. And with Slim as spokesman.

Looks like an eclair, thicc, like a 400-ton dump truck.

Rotten eggs at USDA? On the left, recent Indiana HPAI outbreaks labeled as commercial layers. On the right, USDA uses catch all definition, typically for much smaller flocks. Odd.

-Bad records?
-IN doesn't distinguish btwn duck & chicken layers?
-USDA trying to hide 460K dead chicken layers?

You should put this on the TV screen for your dogs, esp. this one.

It's been a while since we had early season cold that held, so we shall see. Whatever the gas, market is getting volatile (dangerous for some) again.

You deserve it. This is how you've treated the sun in the past.

This one? Haha. I love Wikipedia for a quick look... and I forgot that the normal size vehicles were some of the first to have front wheel drive.

My Dad was in sales (and PT farming) and let his desire for better mileage override GMs diesel disaster. He also had a Tornado and a Regency 98 in addition to this sweet ride (a cousin of Kendrick Lamar's favorite ride?). Nice inside & out. He kept buying b/c GM kept fixing the engines for free.

The "salad" below could be straight from a Lutheran Church Basement Ladies cookbook (or an idea from a woman's magazine circa 1950s, so ~same thing).

A. In today's email, "take a look at the 2026 BMW X7 ALPINA XB7 for the low, low price of $164,575"

B. The vibes of most modern high-end SUVs, esp. BMWs.

It's been a rough 17 months for Novo Nordisk.

If I ever need to go to Texas, I'm going to get one of these so I can cosplay like almost everyone else there who is wearing a hat, boots, belt buckle and driving a pick-up truck.

Points for creativity, but pigeons and Canada geese often begin to ignore counter-measures once they learn they're harmless.

TIL about the origins of Paleo Bro.

... and here we are 40 or 30 years later.

The market HATES consumer packaged goods right now, Conagra stock is at a 12-year low, and here's a little Q&A between Wall St analyst (a VP, whoohoo!) and CFO & CEO about exiting a large flour milling JV that has been doing fine. Decisions, decisions...

Another important govt report that will have not just one, but a two-month data gap, perhaps forever.

Chicken is only our most-consumed meat, and eggs have been in the inflation headlines for four years. 😠

Great moments in marketing:

"Hey, Bob. You know all that crap we used to practically give away to pet food companies? Let's call it Primal Blend, price it higher than ground beef and sell it to the Paleo Bros."

Public Storage: Economic indicator? Seasonal weakness? I don't know but the "Baby, come back" email was interesting. I terminated my first-ever storage contract with them in Feb b/c they raised the price significantly every four months and now they're offering a $20 lock and a 1-yr fixed price.

Just tape these to your torso; they'll keep those internal organs warm and pumping blood to the extremities. ;-)

P.S. Don't. ;-)
