“Statt deine Welt zu verengern, deine Seele zu vereinfachen, wirst du immer mehr Welt, wirst schließlich die ganze Welt in deine schmerzlich erweiterte Seele aufnehmen müssen, um vielleicht einmal zum Ende, zur Ruhe zu kommen.”- Herman Hesse, der Steppenwolf.

Nothing to do with us, say the people who irrationally created a monster, in full awareness of the presence of illegal groups that take it as their violent raison detre to fight monsters. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
Irish language: Street sign rhetoric 'emboldens' vandals
An Irish language campaigner condemns the use of an angle grinder to damage a bilingual street sign.

The manager class aren’t struggling with a “threat against democracy” - they are the bearers of an anti-democratic project themselves.
brendanmcn.bsky.social
They’re just so stupid and vicious that they reimposed the feeling back onto superstitious drivel about immigrants and ‘illegals’.

In many ways, the racists and reactionaries actually have an advanced political feeling. They’re not wrong when they say the manager class is arrogant, distant and in true service to elite economic constituencies.

Neoliberalism - the form of organised corruption of the last 5 decades - is an irresponsible failure, and naturally there’s no returning to the beige pieties of the manager class when the only thing else allowed on offer is the colourful “feel something again” drivel of the demagogues.

More both sides pablum, rather than say, ending the economic, diplomatic and military support and cover for the actions of the one side we can do something about.

Somehow, what is needed to fundamentally change the situation, is that the genocide sponsoring West need to recognise the threat to extremist Islam to peace. Need to figure out what is going on, in the words of erm, the leader of that genocide sponsoring West.

Liam Kennedy: Two years after October 7, the threat to peace comes from Islamists, not just from Israeli warplanes
One of the very useful sayings in the Irish language is a bheith idir dhá intinn (the state of being between two minds).

Does this mean NI’s VAWG problem has been solved in *check* nine months, so that there are now even resources to spare to suppress the civil rights of people protesting a genocide, in one of those NI communities that haven’t had a positive relationship with police in such a long time, er, London?

This. Inequality is a crime against humanity.

No, you're not going crazy. You did read this and also read about the PSNI arresting people in London for being members of a proscribed organization.

Just been reading Meister Eckhart and came across the same thing. Jesus came with a sword, to cut out what is external and to show us the inner conversion in our being as a child of God. I guess it was always a standard medieval interpretation?

The average liberal pundit acts like you're Hitler incarnate for agreeing with Amnesty, Human Rights Watch, the UN, B'Tselem,, Yesh Din, Doctors Without Borders, and the International Association of Genocide Scholars. The average liberal voter is confused as to why we fund apartheid and genocide.

So inspired and full of hope for the union, to know that that England can be fully depended upon to elect politicians to rule here with such diligence with regard to their record, aims, talent and character.

Extraordinary stuff.

Would have thought it obvious for an advocate of ‘progressive change’ that racism is a force from its entire historical inception designed to make change impossible.

Apparently Israel’s genocidal acts are just “daft”.

All about England pleb like participating in the spectacle of “strong” managerial class rule because of how hollow they’ve resigned their democracy into becoming.
brendanmcn.bsky.social
The pre-prepared thing they do in response to someone with a moral statement about genocide to accelerate to a tone of phoney imperiousness while their conference jubilates mindlessly. Ugh. Travels across the sea so terribly.

“We understand your cause, but we are now a party in government, not a party of protest”

Nothing more eloquent here that expresses the laziness, prejudice and satisfaction of England’s manager class.

No idea, value, event or crime that cannot be surpassed by reference to their own place in life.

I’ve never been a fan of organised religion in schools, but the Catholic Church out of education system as a unionist precondition to a united Ireland? That’s something that doesn’t even pertain to the UK they live in now.
