“Statt deine Welt zu verengern, deine Seele zu vereinfachen, wirst du immer mehr Welt, wirst schließlich die ganze Welt in deine schmerzlich erweiterte Seele aufnehmen müssen, um vielleicht einmal zum Ende, zur Ruhe zu kommen.”- Herman Hesse, der Steppenwolf.
Looking at the debate/hysterics after the Supreme Court ruling on religious education, is it unique quirk to the North that the term ‘Christian’ is used synonymously with non Catholic Christians? Even those brought up in Catholic education, still nominally follow it, internalise this usage.

Just mental, mental that she can articulate an anti-elite politics that all the donor oriented Democrat manager class could NEVER do. Yes her vileness is unforgivable.
BREAKING: Marjorie Taylor Greene announces she is resigning from Congress. Her last day in office will be January 5, 2026.

Officially quitting this Silksong game. Not that I don’t like a good, hard fighter of a game, but it’s making me feel ill, this marathon of defeat and tedium and I just don’t have the requisite patience anymore.

Think it is a helpful judgement but NI ‘humanism’ is as insufferable as ever, like their other counterparts. The fatuous, cowardly evangelical pseudo neutrality of bourgeois liberalism, shaping education for the needs manager class.

What makes me make sense of much of the online misogyny movement is that it is a cult of extreme asceticism, the self-denial and hatred of one’s desire given a deluded presentation as a voluntary, self chosen effect and achievement.

The sheer spite of that country. Not enough that you’re already in the most terrible of human situations, you have to have any nice things that you own taken away from you because of the pure resentment of whose immense wealth is privileged and protected.

I thought the clever strategy was to say you don’t even know what ‘woke’ is. 🤷
"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.

Father Dougal got that new video for you, Reservoir Dogs. It's probably not as violent as the ones you usually like but sure, well, give it a go.

When the media and politicians give the credence of legitimacy to the bad faith and irrational ‘concerns’ of racists, the symbolic range of their hatred is allowed to grow, smuggling in bigotry under the more popular and common sense messaging now available to them.

The will to love, as the philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche said, may also be the will to death.

A vicarious fantasy of a nostalgic British patriotism in the callous English Nationalism that has always betrayed here, filling the absence where there should be an ambition to make the place ‘work’.

Much like Hillsborough, you have to marvel at how Britain as a system is so utterly impervious to accountability: decades of orchestrated bullshit, legal shenanigans and institutional roadblocks, and then one final great rasping fart of “maybe it was elves that did it, and fuck you”.
