Looking at the debate/hysterics after the Supreme Court ruling on religious education, is it unique quirk to the North that the term ‘Christian’ is used synonymously with non Catholic Christians? Even those brought up in Catholic education, still nominally follow it, internalise this usage.

What makes me make sense of much of the online misogyny movement is that it is a cult of extreme asceticism, the self-denial and hatred of one’s desire given a deluded presentation as a voluntary, self chosen effect and achievement.

The sheer spite of that country. Not enough that you’re already in the most terrible of human situations, you have to have any nice things that you own taken away from you because of the pure resentment of whose immense wealth is privileged and protected.
